Position Purpose: This 3rd Shift Production Supervisor position is responsible for providing leadership for all third shift production activities, which includes supervising and directing all related work activities. Works closely with all members of management staff to ensure that the highest quality product meets scheduled commitments in a safe/efficient manner at the lowest possible cost. Effectively coordinates and utilizes available resources to formulate action plans for process and quality improvements, LQMS requirements, cost reduction, etc. This position is not directly responsible for budgeted cost, but will be expected to address issues that effect costs within the facility. Upholds and demonstrates the Land O'Lakes core values.
Required (Basic) Experience & Education: Bachelors degree, preferably in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field and 3+ years supervisory experience in food manufacturing environment, preferably union environment, with progressive leadership responsibilities; or three years food plant experience in lieu of college degree with 3+ years supervisory experience. Must have strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and data entry skills; ability to communicate with a variety of people and negotiate priorities; demonstrated written communication skills; capacity for consistently meeting deadlines; ability to manage multiple projects; solid organization and detail orientation, and excellent follow-through skills. This position will require one weekend per month.
