Executive Officer – Marketing, Membership Services, Events & Industry Liaison

The Australian Lot Feeders Association (ALFA) is an active and progressive peak national industry organisation advancing and promoting the interests of the feedlot industry in Australia. Nationally the feedlot industry turns over some $2.7 billion a year and directly employs around 2,000 people (all in rural areas). More than 60% of feedlot production is exported into premium international markets.

As part of ALFA’s stated objective of fostering excellence and integrity, improving the feedlot business environment and ensuring its community standing, an opportunity exists for an Executive Officer responsible for Marketing, Membership Services, Events and Industry Liaison to work closely with the relevant Committee Chairperson and the Executive Director.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with the ALFA Executive Director and Committee Chairman to manage the ALFA Marketing and Events Committee’s;
• Managing the effective provision of ALFA workshops and forums
• Identification of members' needs;
• The maintenance and improvement of services to members and sponsors;
• Effectively communicating ALFA policies and objectives to members, the industry and the community generally;
• Managing the ALFA website.
• Working with the Events Co-ordinator on major events; and
• Improving community knowledge of lot feeding issues.

Ideally you will have a Tertiary qualification, preferably in Agricultural Economics or similar, and some work experience in the agricultural industry.

A competitive remuneration package to reflect the skills required will be negotiated.
